gareth
Hello,

I am developing on Ubuntu 18.04 and try to make the GStreamer VA-API working
on my integrated graphic card UHD630.

I have follow the guides on other post and compiled everything necessary.

Although vainfo can give valid output.

libva info: VA-API version 1.4.1
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: User requested driver ‘iHD’
libva info: Trying to open /opt/intel/mediasdk/lib64/iHD_drv_video.so

We are still stabilizing iHD driver. Enabling this driver in older GStreamer
version would have cause user experience regressions. But if you would like to
try, you can do:

  GST_VAAPI_ALL_DRIVERS=1 ./your-app

Don't expect good results, 1.18.0 should be the first release with support for
this driver.

Is that the i965 driver also not supported or there are some steps I have
missed?

That could be the issue.

Which distro patches GStreamer to point to bugzilla ? Would be nice to
file an issue in the distro specific tracker, since bugzilla has now
been put read-only and issues should be filed against gitlab. I'm not
sure setting the Origin URL to the issue tracker is great though.
